CV and Business Card

My last try at my CV

Business Card Changed
Front of business card

The hand signifies help is available and the rays emitting from the hand leads the reader to my role and my contact details. The back of the card remains the same.
The pyramid signifies the pyramid of learning and the ray at the top relates to achievement.

Back Of Business Card

The pig picture has been changed for the exhibition but to be honest I don't know which out of the two to pick. They have been changed so that all my images are shown in landscape and keep to similar colour schemes.

The film strip is to signify that the finished product resulted in a video!

Some other Business Card Designs
This card design is surrounded by the 'hands symbol for success".
Front Card

Back of Card

Front of the Card

The design for this card is for people who have an instant answer. The services offered are printed in the head on both sides of the card so the owner can instantly see if I have the skills required for the task they are pursuing.

The head relates to the term 'Mindset' which if I wanted to go it alone I would call my business.

Having the skill information on both sides allows for one side of the card wearing away where it comes in and out of a pocket.

Front of card

The tulip is known as a sign of success hence the tulips.

Back of the card

Three is also classed as being luck so with both these elements all projects should be successful!

The three pieces that I would like to exhibit are as follows:

1: The London Museum advertisement.

The kiosk promotional system for London Museum

Poster from front page of advertisement

Poster for the Remus Sanctuary Advertisement

Poster from the Advanced Sound Module

3: Remus Horse Sanctuary Advertising for Sponsorship.

I am aware that some graphic design/logo needs to be placed on the CV

My business card but it still needs tweaking

  1. Don't forget to bring images of the work you want to exhibit tonight.

  2. Related to your business card: Be sure that the image reflects in an obvious way your approach to design or your personality. I suggest you to have a look in design books (have a look at the ones that I recommended you in class) to give yourself more ideas. I know you will be quite busy with the exhibition work, but be sure of making as many options as possible for your business card. Also, don't forget to consider the same graphics for your CV in such a way these two documents give potential clients a concise and congruent idea of who you are and what you do.

  3. Hi Teresa,

Any new ideas for your CV design? I think your idea for business card is quite interesting, so what about applying same palette of colour and design elements to your CV. See how it works but in the process, don't forget to keep it clean and with the information clear and easy to read. Give it a go, upload it and I'll have a look at it.

  4. Teresa,
Please be sure to add all the changes you have done to your business card and once you did that to start applying same image to your CV. Also, I don't want anyone to leave on holidays without adding pictures or illustrations of how you're planning to bind your portfolio as well as work included in it and organization of information.

  5. Teresa,

Where are your binding ideas???????? Related to your card: Much better. I think the idea is quite engaging BUT (as always), I would grow the icon of the hand a little bit more; in a way, it has too much space around it and gives this sensation of floating (that I think you might want, but don't leave so much space cause it makes the whole composition of your card look a little bit poor or "lacking of"). I know I'm the first telling you to let your design "breathe", but in this particular case and because of the weight of your background (in this particular case you chose the heaviest: black), ensure that your hand icon behaves as the protagonist of your card (remember this element is a graphical representation of who you are, what you do and how you can help a client). The typo works perfectly fine to me, I think you made a good choice in colour and style. Well done!

  6. Good that you are aware that the graphic design/logo needs to be placed in your CV... can you please put it so I can have a look at it? This is the last push with your personal development Teresa, I really want you done with this so you can concentrate only in your exhibition when you come back from holidays. Try to do the changes I suggested in your card, see if you like them and you feel comfortable with them, if you do, apply them to your CV and then, start with ideas for your portfolio. You're almost done with this, keep working hard and I'm sure you will be able to finish with this before holidays! See you in class.
